Catch You Later, President Obama
Barack and Michelle Obama may have left the White House today, but they have certainly not left politics. In fact, Obama’s career as a world leader and elder statesman has only just begun.
While he was president Obama carried a burden of huge responsibility, without always being able to wield a huge amount of power, because the Republican-led congress was determined to thwart him.
From the autumn of 2012, Saturn — which can be quite oppressive — was moving across the top of Obama’s chart from the cusp of the 9th house to the cusp of the 11th. During this second term in office, Obama became father of the nation. This heavy burden is lifting. Saturn is moving out of his 10th house.
We all saw that Obama bore his responsibilities with grace and humility. With his Sun in the 6th house, he understands what it means to be a public servant. One of the most moving aspects of his presidency was his compassion for his fellow citizens — after the shootings at Sandy Hook and Orlando, for example. Obama cared. This may have been to do with the Grand Trine in water from Chiron (wounds) to Neptune (tears) to Venus (balm).
With his North Node on the royal star Regulus, Obama may always have been destined to rule, but it’s in his 7th house, so clearly he had to marry someone regal in order to do it.
Now Saturn has moved on, and expansive Jupiter will be travelling across the top of Obama’s chart from October 2017. He will be back in the public eye, and out of the straightjacket of office — able to say what he thinks with much greater freedom.
Obama is in the final chapter of one book of his life. His Progressed Moon has returned to its natal position in Gemini after a 27 year tour through the Zodiac. He first met Michelle on his last Progressed Lunar Return. And in less than two years, Saturn will also return to its natal position. Last time it was here, Obama was finishing off his two-year stint at Harvard Law School and setting out on his career.
Those days were the start of the cycle that is finishing now. But a new one begins emotionally as his daughters fly the nest, and in a few years politically, as a powerful conjunction takes place right on Obama’s Jupiter at 0° Aquarius in December 2020. This is the joining of the two kings — Jupiter and Saturn — which takes place every 20 years. It’s the first time these two have met on this spot though for well, I can’t find another occasion… It’s this dynamic aspect between Jupiter, Mercury and the Moon in Gemini that helps make Obama such a great orator. This Jupiter in the 12th is his magical connection to the collective.
Watch that space.
Thank you, Christina, for heartening and hope today. It’s needed and greatly appreciated. Bless you.
Yes!!! Thank you…there’s hope
That’s exactly what I think too. I am looking forward to what he does next. My money’s on civil rights. 🙂
Thank you from me to.
I sincerely hope he gets some sleep.
I too think he will move on to great things once he’s reflected and had a long rest.
You think Obama is decent; he was responsible for the mass surveillance by the NSA which is illegal under the constitution (4th amendment). He increased the national debt from 10 trillion dollars to 19 trillion dollars, he bailed out the banks! In 2016 alone he dropped approximately 26,1000 bombs by using drones, through NATO he pushed an Anti-ballistic missile system on Russia’s border (highly aggressive policy), put sanctions against Syria, Russia and other countries. The Affordable Care Act was so useless you had to be hit by a bus or struck by lightning to actually benefit from it’s coverage. He was for the TPP which give Multi-National corporations the right to sue individuals, companies and small business over seas. He is also responsible for destabilizing Libya through his incompetence.
Obama is perhaps the worst president in history, He was Bush 2.0!!!
The only good thing he did that I can think of was the Cuba deal !!!
Obama inherited three wars from Bush Jr: Iraqi, Afghanistan, and on terror, plus a hefty economic recession. Osama bin Laden was disposed, but ISIL became the replacement. No idea what country you are from, Lucy, but there has been tremendous pressure on Obama, and now Trump, to dispose of ISIL, which is now well-dispersed throughout most of the Middle East. One of American voters’ primary concerns over the past decade has been defeating terrorism. I suspect Trump will employ even more bombs than Obama’s count…perhaps boots-on-the-ground will return. Obama wanted to invade Syria once al-Assad instigated chemical weapons, but Americans did not want involvement. Now he’s called a woose, because he didn’t invade! Mass surveillance started under Bush Jr and has continued with Obama. “While they have concerns about government surveillance, Americans also say anti-terrorism policies have not gone far enough to adequately protect them.” http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2015/05/29/what-americans-think-about-nsa-surveillance-national-security-and-privacy/
The Affordable Care Act was originally intended as single-payer, but the Republican-led congress wouldn’t pass it without major changes, such as privatization through corporations. 20 million individuals are currently enrolled, most receiving subsidies, greatly reducing the cost. Some insurance is better than no insurance. I had no insurance for a decade, until the ACA came along, then I had coverage at a very low cost…many preventatives and diagnostics were at no cost to me. I did not like the TPP and I’m glad it’s gone, too, Lucy. I believe that Bush Jr was the worst prez in the last 100 years, but now that Trump has arrived, Bush Jr is now looking at the number two spot. Regarding debt, look at the last two graphs:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/01/07/the-story-behind-obama-and-the-national-debt-in-7-charts/
I’ll take 100 Obamas over 1 Bush Jr or 1 Trump!
I disagree on Syria there were no chemical weapons like there were no WMDs in Iraq and Obama was giving aid (military weapons, tanks etc) to the FSA whose main goal is to overthrow Assad, the problem with this is once Assad is gone there will be a vacuum which terrorists will fill up (e.g Iraq, Libya) therefore if one wants to get rid of terrorism Assad must stay at least until ISIL is decimated. Also Obama was for getting rid of Assad and often tried to attack the legitimate Syrian Army, remember all those ‘accidental’ attacks, they were not so accidental. Trump whilst I’m not against or for him he has stopped aiding the FSA which is good and is more focused on bombing ISIL.
Also I know Bush started the Patriot act but Obama increased surveillance exponentially as revealed by Edward Snowden.
As for the economic situation I acknowledge it was difficult but he is responsible for the slowest economic recovery since the great depression.
Even though I have some classical liberal principles I’m not going to defend Obama simply because he’s a democrat and not a republican. I don’t want to be blind sighted by this two party dichotomy.
Obama in my opinion was Bush Jr 2.0, Bush Jr was Clinton 2.0 and Clinton was Herbert Hoover 2.0. I’m still not sure what I think about Trump I’m not a fan of him but I do agree with maybe 65-70% of his policies which is more than I can say for the above Presidents currently.
The last average/passable president in my eyes was Reagan, hell even Carter was at least honest and a true leftist who stood for liberal principles (e.g Free speech, government transparency.)
The last good presidents were Eisenhower and Kennedy.
The last great president was Theodore Roosevelt.

He also has sun opposite ascendant meaning he is the opposite of what he appears and the only other aspect from the sun is a hard square from Neptune, he deluded the collective into thinking he was a great (Leo) Leader (Sun).
Also the Neptune in the 9th house is in Scorpio, indicating the behind the scenes drone war (He dropped approximately 26,1000 bombs by using drones) and fooling the public on foreign policy and being quite opaque, mysterious and foggy.
You are entitled to your opinion, but this comment in particular shows that you have a great deal to learn about astrology.
Mary – I do not understand your problem with Lucys POV. Its just as valid and uses the same technique as pretty much all western astrologers. Why single her out?
OK, I’m drawing a line under this thread.

Mars, Saturn and Uranus, all in contact. You can see why the USA was at war everyday of his presidency. The sweet and tender hooligan. He’ll never ever do it again – not until the next time. And look at transiting Saturn placement on the day of departure.
