Self-portrait with necklace (1933), Frida Kahlo, born 6 July 1907. WikiArt
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

From Sonnet XVII by Pablo Neruda, born 12 July 1904

Beautiful…
I love Neruda — even in English so beautiful.
He can convey so much life and emotion. And Frida’s colors…is the moon connected with the sense of color?
