Astrology Talk Podcast: Cancer Season

Sunday June 18th 2023

This month on Astrology Talk Podcast Sally and I  could not resist taking a look back at Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Nicola Sturgeon and Silvio Berlusconi, the politicians who’ve fallen in the past few weeks. What was going on in the skies?

And, of course, we took a good look at what’s coming up, including analysing the Solstice chart for the month ahead. There’s some very lucky astrology coming up for some of us.

You can watch on YouTube or listen to the podcast.

  1. Isy says:

“Investigate/s” is a verb there, not a noun. That doesn’t solve the problem though because you’ll have to pick a country before determining verb agreement.

On one side of the Atlantic, a group noun (like the name of a team or organization) “investigates”, because the group is treated grammatically as a unit, and it investigates.

On the other side of the Atlantic, a group noun (ditto) is treated as an assembly of individuals, and thus the verb is treated as if the noun were plural, so they investigate.

    Pedantically yours,
    XD

Venus stationing inconjunct Pluto – you mentioned wheat harvests in Canada and Ukraine – I just read in the Wall Street Journal that the state of Kansas expects the worst wheat harvest in 60 years, due to drought, and the expectation for the entire US wheat harvest is 30% of normal. Also read about grain harvest issues in Denmark.

Nearing the end of the US Pluto return, and the US chart also has a Chiron return now. Remembering too, that the 2017 solar eclipse across the US was at 28 Leo. We’re kind of a mess over here. You mentioned Ron DeSantis – he has Jupiter at 1 degree 51″ Aquarius, opposing Pluto.

    • Denise says:

Oops – that should be 1 degree 51 minutes Aquarius.

      • Christina says:

It’s actually quite unnerving — I mean the wheat situation. I think this year is a write off — which could have a massive knock on effect, especially for people who can’t afford alternatives. I was actually caught up in a the Cairo Bread Riots as a child, when the government put up the price of bread and people took to the streets…
Also — that means DeSantis Jupiter is the same as the UK’s. I was just looking at the UK chart, wondering when the we might possibly get out of this fix.
