People were a lot thinner then — and they wore hats. But the dances we watched this morning looked the same… and the choir was still at the top of the tower. Happy May Day.

When I was growing up here in California, we always had May Day dances … but it was the girls dancing ’round the Maypole holding crepe-paper streamers, winding and unwinding … pretty pagan, really … 🙂
