Astrology of Now: Sober Moon
Wednesday June 27th 2018

Sleeping Bunny, Fritz Baumgarten
Although this moon rides high, luscious and fulsome in the midsummer, it’s not bound to take us away from our connection to the earth. Indeed this, rather sombre Moontide, is all about feeling grounded.
The Moon is in Capricorn and she conjoins old sobersides Saturn himself. Saturn has a sense of humour — dry — but he’s not about to break out the maracas and dance a fandango. And he won’t expect Lady Luna to do so either. Instead, he reminds her of her — and our — deep connection to nature.
Lie on the ground this Full Moon and see what you dream up.
I’ve fallen in love again with the work of William Morris, Edward Byrne-Jones and Rossetti and have taken up furniture restoration and decoupage. I don’t know if this is the influence of Saturn (and Full moon) conjunct my natal sun at 6 Capricorn, Uranus transiting Taurus or Mars transiting my MC at 8 Aquarius. Probably a combo of all three – really feeling the need to bring nature into the material world in a functional and artistic way. I think Saturn does have a beautiful side. (I have venus in 10th house).
