Peter Mandelson — liar or “the most charming man in Westminster” — may turn out to be the biggest traitor to this country since the Cambridge Four. Like them, he was deeply embedded in the British Establishment, so embedded, indeed, that they gave him a Lordship.
Meanwhile, he was pinging government secrets to Jeffrey Epstein, borrowing that person’s flat, getting cash handouts, and hanging out with him in his underpants. This is what we know so far, but there may be more to come.
So what makes a turncoat, or in Mandelson’s case turnpants?
Unfortunately, we don’t have a birth time, so this chart is set for 0° Libra, his Sun sign. It’s known as a Solar Chart, and is pretty informative anyway.
With this chart, the thing that really shouts initially is the exact conjunction of charming Venus in her own sign Libra with Black Moon Lilith. They are a minute apart. Libra is a sign that loves social connections and politics – and you can see that Mandelson has Venus, Lilith, Neptune, Sun and Saturn, all in the sign of the scales. Many politicians – good, bad and indifferent – have planets in Libra. But Lilith adds an unruly element, literally the Libran rules of fair play and politesse don’t apply — or they can be applied for nefarious purposes as we found out. It was his social connections that allowed him to climb the giddy heights of corruption. Lilith often likes the dark, the underbelly, even sordidness.
Another significant player here is Saturn. The planet of ambition and hard work is said to be exalted in Libra, so there he is a striver, and at the very end of the sign, at 29°, his ambition is unbounded. I heard him described today as “having no boundaries”. He was literally forwarding sensitive government emails straight to Epstein.
This ambitious Saturn also conjoins the Sun, himself, and Neptune, a glamorous veil, trines Jupiter in Gemini. Many people who knew him well describe him as “gossipy”, which would fit with Jupiter in Gemini. And he also talked his way out of some tight corners. He’s been done for corruption before. Jupiter makes a quincunx to his Mercury in Scorpio.
And here we get back to the treachery and lying. Mercury in Scorpio is clever, but sometimes underhanded or sly, and it makes that subtle aspect to Jupiter. Within all the gossip, there might be gobbets of poison. Mandelson must have a sharp tongue too, and a quick mind, since Mercury is actually in mutual reception with Mars in Virgo. He really could talk faster and think faster than a lot of people. The mistake though, is to forget that other people have speed and brains too — and not everyone will use them for ill.
So is he going down the drain?
Yup.
Saturn in the last degrees of Pisces is definitely flushing away a lot of sewage. And pretty soon, Saturn and Neptune will be opposing his Venus-Lilith in Libra.
The hubris which can be inherent in such a Saturn has stumbled one too many times.

The unaspected moon in Aries in 7th?
The Moon is interesting. I suppose it depends how wide an orb you give a full moon. I’m not sure of his time of birth so it could be in closer aspect. But either way — Aries moon is often competitive and sometimes quite blinkered. It can be hard to see someone else’s point of view, but then, if you’re a Libra, you want to please people. It’s a contradiction.
Mandelson has his corrupt and treacherous drives-but Labour put him in an exalted position-knowing his repeated criminal behaviour.Both Labour and Conservatives are running the country into the ground.Both parties are scammers, tax dodgers.Seems these parties and their politicians are designed to fail the British public and are in politics for their own insatiable gain.It’s being proven over and over again: breaking their own rules, squirming out of secondary home taxes.Their insatiable, selfish drives are a detriment to public service.

Also, trs Saturn has been quincunx his natal Sun/Saturn conj. This has likely came as a great shock to him. Quincunx = sudden jolts and unexpected changes. I sense he will think this is all very unfair…………

Quite the do-over!
He used to be described as “The Prince of Darkness”, coined during his time as spin doctor of New Labour, and affirmed later through his weavings as European Commissioner for Trade. Where would you see this reflected in his cosmic setup… rather Dark Moon Lilith or also to do with Mercury in Scorpio and Pluto in the 11th House?
